Welcome to the website of experienced and qualified freelance journalist
Louise Duffield.
Louise has worked for a number of organisations from national newspapers and magazines to local businesses and authorities. Here’s what some of them have to say about her work.

“In the 1990s Louise was an invaluable member of my newsdesk team when I worked on the Nottingham Evening Post.

She was always an excellent writer, with a strong news sense and a constant source of good ideas, who could edit copy quickly and accurately.

We met up again in 2004 when she did some great work on two projects for me at Northcliffe Electronic Publishing, where I am now Project Manager.

Louise took on a commission to produce a series of newspaper features for a campaign to promote Broadband that we were working on with the East Midlands regional development agency - see: www.emidlands.co.uk

While working on this initiative she proved again her ability to project manage. She liaised successfully with a variety of local and regional newspapers, business broadband users, Internet Service Providers and key stakeholders producing flawless copy to the brief and on time.

She also contributed to our BAFTA award-winning educational project www.headlinehistory.co.uk by carrying out valuable research and writing of material about the Roman era for a target audience of seven to 14-year-olds.
Louise understands people, and she understands the media - in all its forms. She can write on a wide range of subjects with authority and 100% accuracy.”
